Our mission is to offer instruction in "classic pilates" , as originally intended by Joseph Pilates. We utilize a one-on-one approach to create specifically designed programs for each individual. Our goal is to assist our clients in the complete reorganization of their bodies and improve their self-confidence, poise, consciousness of movement and to help them find their inner strength.
We achieve results for our clients and help them achieve their goals quickly and safely. If you are doing pilates and not seeing results, you need to come and try us. Whether you are recovering from an injury, want to improve your posture or would just like to improve your appearance, strength and self-empowerment...we are here for you!
What is Pilates ?
Pilates is a series of over 500 controlled exercises created by Joseph Pilates. The pilates method develops the "core" muscles of your abdomen and elongates your body's muscles without adding bulk. Pilates can be done on a mat (floor work), or performed on the equipment invented by Pilates himself.
Where Should You Start?
We encourage you to begin with a private session so that you can familiarize yourself with the equipment and exercises . Then, we can assess your body, your individual needs and your goals. All sessions are 55 minutes long. At that point...you will talk your instructor about the next step.
What Should You Wear?
Comfortable clothing that is not too oversized is best so that each movement
of your body is visible to the instructor, which allows them to better evaluate what it is your body requires.
How Many Times A Week?
You will reap the benefits if you do three hours of pilates a week. However, noticeable differences will be visible with two sessions a week.
As Joseph Pilates stated
" In 10 sessions you will feel the difference, in 20 sessions you will see the difference, and in 30 sessions you will have a completely reorganized body."
Pilates is about empowerment. It's knowing that you are cabable of becoming strong, increasing your flexibility, changing how you stand, how you carry yourself. It's knowing that throughout your day, you can apply what you have learned in every aspect of your life.
